Factors to determine if an unattended item is suspicious or not
1. Location :
- Is the establishment of the unattended item found in a sensitive or high-risked area?
- Is the item left at a spot not easily noticeable? Or was it hidden?
2. Type of Item :
- Is it a typical "Lost & Found" item?
- Is it likely to be left behind by a forgetful person?

How to determine if the item is an explosive device
- Oily stains or discolouration found on the wrapping materials
- Excessive use of securing materials such as string and adhesive tape
- Trace of unusual smells
- Clock - like ticking sound emitting from it
- Wires or aluminium foil protruding from it

What should I do to the item?
If item is non-suspicious,
- Treat it as "Lost & Found" and hand it over to the security personnel or the owner of the establishment

If item is suspicious,
- Do not touch or open it
- Inform security or the owner of the establishment immediately
- Call the police

How can I help when a search is conducted
When there is unverified security threat, the security personnel or the owner of the establishment may conduct a search of the premises without calling for evacuation.

- Look around for unattended items; Do not touch them
